Requirements

Valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility.
Master's degree in Physical Therapy; or
Master's degree in a Physical Therapy related field in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; or
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience.
Qualifying Physical Therapy degree earned outside of the U.S. must be evaluated to be the U.S. equivalent to a degree in Physical Therapy.

Responsibilities

Assess patient needs, develop their recovery plans, and deliver physical therapy.
Design a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities and independence.
Adapt to the needs of the patient.
Collaborate with peers and make referrals to help patients get the care they need to thrive.
Train patients and caregivers on the skills they need to promote independence and productivity.
