About The Position
PARS Therapy is seeking a compassionate, skilled Physical Therapist to provide personalized, evidence-based care to patients in their homes in the Killeen/Temple, Texas area. The role focuses on helping patients regain movement, reduce pain, improve mobility and function, and achieve greater independence. The clinician evaluates patients, develops and adjusts treatment plans, provides therapeutic interventions, educates patients and caregivers, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary care team. The position is listed as PRN, with flexible scheduling options.
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapist license in Texas.
- Professional liability insurance coverage specific to the Texas Physical Therapy license.
- Graduate degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Ability to adapt care approaches to different patient personalities and needs.
- Up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based treatment techniques and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor when educating and interacting with patients.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in home health or rehabilitative settings is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ physical abilities and functional limitations in a home health setting.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to restore function, improve mobility, and alleviate pain.
- Provide therapeutic interventions, including exercise, gait training, manual therapy, and balance retraining.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety techniques, and adaptive strategies.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes accurately using digital platforms.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists.
- Conduct home safety assessments and recommend ways to prevent falls or re-injury.
- Deliver compassionate care while empowering patients to achieve greater independence.
