This role supports ROMTech’s pilot programs and IRB-approved clinical studies by delivering clinician-guided at-home rehab and contributing to the development and refinement of innovative rehabilitation protocols. The Physical Therapist Clinical contractor collaborates with internal research teams and external healthcare stakeholders to ensure high-quality patient care, accurate outcomes tracking, and advancement of new models of care that support ROMTech’s growth and clinical innovation objectives.

Requirements

  • Active Physical Therapist license in good standing (legally required for patient care)
  • 3–5 years of clinical physical therapy experience
  • Strong knowledge of rehabilitation protocols and patient outcomes tracking
  • Ability to maintain compliance with clinical research requirements and regulatory standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with multidisciplinary teams and healthcare professionals
  • Must have a valid driver’s license to run errands offsite.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in both verbal and written formats.
  • Must be able to engage in active listening and express ideas effectively in person, by phone, and via virtual meetings.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with healthcare billing codes and reimbursement processes
  • Experience presenting clinical concepts to physicians, executives, or healthcare stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in advancing innovative care models
  • Prior experience in clinical research, pilot programs, or IRB-regulated environments
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and refine clinical protocols supporting pilot programs and IRB-approved studies
  • Deliver physical therapy services to patients enrolled in pilot programs in accordance with study protocols and professional standards of care
  • Ensure compliance with IRB requirements, HIPAA regulations, and applicable clinical guidelines
  • Collaborate with research and clinical teams to monitor patient outcomes and ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Contribute to evaluation and application of rehabilitation methodologies for pilot populations, including consideration of reimbursement and billing pathways
  • Participate in meetings with physicians, hospital administrators, and healthcare leadership to communicate clinical value and study outcomes
  • Support innovation initiatives by contributing clinical insight to new care delivery approaches and program design
  • Provide input on program improvements, workflow optimization, and patient engagement strategies
  • Support communication between cross-functional stakeholders involved in pilot programs
  • Performs other mutually agreed upon duties consistent with the applicable engagement or contract
