This role is for a Staff Physical Therapist in Inpatient Acute Care at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a nationally ranked academic medical center in Boston, MA. The Inpatient Rehabilitation Services department provides physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and swallow services, and orthopedic technology services to patients on inpatient floors, ICUs, and the Emergency Department. Staff physical therapists will join a team with diverse clinical care backgrounds and expertise. The primary responsibility is to provide patient care in accordance with state licensing regulations, departmental standards, policies, and accepted professional standards of care. The Brigham offers opportunities to rotate through seven teams with diverse diagnoses across multiple adult populations, including Orthopedics/Trauma, Cardiovascular, Thoracic/Pulmonary, Oncology, Neurology, General Medicine, and the Emergency Department. Therapists will receive mentorship from experienced clinicians, collaborate with other rehab disciplines and the multidisciplinary team, and have opportunities for clinical growth through continuing education programming, financial support for courses and conferences, and a formal mentorship program. Advancement is possible through a merit-based clinical ladder program (staff therapist, senior therapist, clinical specialist). Therapists will also participate in various Rehabilitation Department Committees to enhance professional growth.
