About The Position

Tryfacta is seeking a Physical Therapist – IEP Services for our client in St. Louis, MO 63110. This is a temporary contract assignment. The role involves providing physical therapy services to students aged 5-21 with visual impairments, ensuring all IEP minutes are implemented as written, and delivering direct therapy services through an integrated therapy approach. The therapist will also consult with classroom staff, assist in the development of students' Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFP), and support students in achieving their IEP goals and benchmarks.

Requirements

Current Missouri Physical Therapist license in accordance with Chapter 324 Revised Missouri Statutes (RSMo) and in good standing throughout the contract period.
Experience providing physical therapy services to individuals aged 5-21 with visual impairments.
Familiarity with the integrated therapy approach.
Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Understanding of regulations under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
Ability to collaborate effectively with classroom staff and other educational personnel.
Experience contributing to the development of PLAAFP statements as part of the IEP process.

Responsibilities

Provide physical therapy services as a Missouri-licensed Physical Therapist in good standing throughout the contract period.
Provide therapy services to students aged 5-21 with visual impairments.
Deliver physical therapy services as required by students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ensure all IEP minutes are implemented as written.
Provide direct therapy services through the integrated therapy approach.
Deliver direct services on an individual basis unless group services are specified in the student's IEP.
Provide services only to students approved for physical therapy services on their IEP.
Support students in achieving IEP goals and benchmarks through direct physical therapy interventions.
Share student progress information when requested by classroom teachers or other staff.
Provide consultation with classroom staff and other personnel to support student achievement of IEP goals.
Demonstrate therapy techniques to classroom teachers during consultation sessions when appropriate.
Assist in the development of students' Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFP) as part of the IEP process.
