The Physical Therapist will screen, evaluate, develop, organize, and implement patient/resident care programs using selected physical therapy techniques. This role involves applying tests to assist physicians in determining diagnosis and prognosis, evaluating and adjusting prosthetic/orthotic devices, and participating in conferences and educational programs to improve patient care. The Physical Therapist will also instruct patients, families, and caregivers on post-discharge recommendations, consult with physicians on treatment plans, and ensure all documentation and treatments adhere to regulatory guidelines and reimbursement requirements. Additionally, this position involves participating in quality improvement studies, providing oversight to Physical Therapist Assistants, Techs, and Volunteers, and assisting in the supervision of students. The role also includes ensuring the physical surroundings and equipment are sanitary and safe, and performing other duties as assigned and allowed by State Practice Acts and regulation. The Physical Therapist is responsible for ensuring compliance with the facility's Compliance program, policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations, including the protection of patient/resident health information and company sensitive information. As a supervisor, the Physical Therapist must administer appropriate disciplinary action for violations in consultation with the Director of Rehabilitation and facility Administrator.
