About The Position

This contract Physical Therapist role provides outpatient care focused on orthopedic and work-related injuries. The therapist works with a supportive team to deliver patient-centered care and collaborates with workplace safety stakeholders. The role also offers opportunities for professional development and participation in health promotion programs.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The workplace is closed on November 11, 26, and 27. Orientation and training days before the start date are flexible.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in orthopedic care, sports medicine, or orthopedic surgery.
• Valid Physical Therapist credential in the state of Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Treat orthopedic and work-related injuries, primarily in an outpatient setting.
• Develop treatment plans using current physical therapy research, clinical reasoning, and patient values.
• Promote direct access to physical therapy services and practice at the highest skill level.
• Participate in health center and patient care meetings, and maintain thorough documentation and reporting.
• Engage in continuing competence activities, including peer review and presentations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including safety officers, ergonomists, and human resources, to promote workplace safety.
• Support positive behavior change beyond clinical settings.
• Assist with injury prevention and health promotion presentations and workshops for onsite employees.
