About The Position
Provides physical therapy services to patients needing to develop, recover, and maintain physical mobility/function within an assigned area.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of Maine.
Responsibilities
- Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
- Implements the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
- Documents subjective, objective, and assessment findings and plans patient progress.
- Educates and counsels the patient and family/caregiver.
- Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting.
- Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
- Supervises and delegates the care provided by physical therapy assistants according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards.
- Some employees in this job may operate a motor vehicle to conduct MaineGeneral Health business.
