Position Description: As a Physical Therapist at McKenzie Health, you will be responsible for evaluation, planning, directing, and administering physical therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. You will administer treatments and physical agents as prescribed by a referring physician to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of physiology best practices and standards
  • Hands on experience with therapeutic exercises, functional training, and physical modalities - spine experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate and instruct effectively.
  • Health care administration and documentation skills
  • Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork.
  • Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the public.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages are preferred.
  • Proficient computing skills, specifically healthcare related billing platforms, and MS Office Products.
  • Subject to frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to travel between outlying clinics (Williston, ND) and hospital.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Graduate of accredited college or university with a certificate in Physical Therapy with a Master’s.
  • Current State Physical Therapy Licensure
  • Current BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) or more years of previous experience in all aspects of physical therapy preferred.
  • New Grads Welcome
  • Previous EHR (EPIC0 knowledge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Implement selected components of care and interventions in a technically competent manner.
  • Instruct and counsel patients effectively in exercises.
  • Identify patient’s needs and exhibit compassion, caring, and empathy to individual differences.
  • Recommend options, courses of action or modifications in selected treatments ensuring patient’s progress, safety and comfort.
  • Complete documentation to support the delivery of physical therapy services.
  • Measure performance and report on patient’s medical record
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards.
  • Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
