Position Description: As a Physical Therapist at McKenzie Health, you will be responsible for evaluation, planning, directing, and administering physical therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. You will administer treatments and physical agents as prescribed by a referring physician to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of physiology best practices and standards
- Hands on experience with therapeutic exercises, functional training, and physical modalities - spine experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate and instruct effectively.
- Health care administration and documentation skills
- Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork.
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the public.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages are preferred.
- Proficient computing skills, specifically healthcare related billing platforms, and MS Office Products.
- Subject to frequent interruptions.
- Ability to travel between outlying clinics (Williston, ND) and hospital.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Graduate of accredited college or university with a certificate in Physical Therapy with a Master’s.
- Current State Physical Therapy Licensure
- Current BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Three (3) or more years of previous experience in all aspects of physical therapy preferred.
- New Grads Welcome
- Previous EHR (EPIC0 knowledge experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Implement selected components of care and interventions in a technically competent manner.
- Instruct and counsel patients effectively in exercises.
- Identify patient’s needs and exhibit compassion, caring, and empathy to individual differences.
- Recommend options, courses of action or modifications in selected treatments ensuring patient’s progress, safety and comfort.
- Complete documentation to support the delivery of physical therapy services.
- Measure performance and report on patient’s medical record
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards.
- Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
