About The Position

Olympic Sports & Spine (OSS) is looking for Physical Therapists to join our organization. Hours are Monday - Friday 4x10 or 5x8s between 7:20 AM - 6:00 PM. Locations: Lakewood, Parkland, Puyallup 112th, Spanaway, South Hill, Tacoma Allenmore and Tacoma Mall Blvd. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Physical Therapist with expertise in industrial rehabilitation and occupational health to join our team. This position focuses exclusively on treating injured workers and providing specialized services including acute work injury rehabilitation, work conditioning and work hardening programs, and Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs). The ideal candidate is passionate about helping injured workers meet job related goals, return to work, and excels at building relationships with providers. We are looking for strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience collaborating with Occupational Medicine providers, Claims Managers, Nurse Case Managers, Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, employers, and other stakeholders to facilitate safe and timely return-to-work outcomes.

Requirements

  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an institution accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
  • Experience performing Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs) or willing to learn.
  • Current Washington State Physical Therapist License (or license applicant status).
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in: Workers Compensation Rehabilitation, Occupational Health, Industrial Rehabilitation, Work Conditioning/Work Hardening Programs.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat injured workers with work-related musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans focused on restoring functional and job-specific abilities.
  • Provide and oversee Work Conditioning and Work Hardening programs designed to prepare employees for a safe return to work.
  • Perform Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs) and prepare comprehensive, objective reports.
  • Assess physical demands of job tasks and incorporate work simulation activities into treatment plans.
  • Collaborate closely with Occupational Medicine providers to ensure coordinated care and optimal return-to-work planning.
  • Communicate regularly with claims managers, vocational rehabilitation counselors, nurse case managers, employers, and other stakeholders regarding patient progress and functional status.
  • Establish realistic return-to-work goals and provide recommendations regarding work restrictions and accommodations.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and defensible clinical documentation.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans based on objective functional progress.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, workers' compensation guidelines, and organizational policies.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care conferences as needed.
