About The Position

Spaulding Outpatient Center Wellesley is expanding and is looking for a full-time Physical Therapist specializing in Vestibular Rehabilitation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest and/or experience in treating patients with dizziness, vertigo, balance disorders, and vestibular dysfunction. This position offers the opportunity to provide individualized, evidence-based care while helping patients improve their balance, mobility, confidence, and quality of life. Strong communication skills, clinical expertise, and a patient-centered approach are essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Physical Therapy required or Master's Degree Physical Therapy required or Doctor of Physical Therapy Physical Therapy preferred
  • Physical Therapist [State License] - Generic - HR Only required
  • Experience in a hospital, rehab or ambulatory setting 2-3 years required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to work independently with only general supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Intermediate-to-advanced ability to get work done through others.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent coach and strong motivator.
  • Excellent problem-solving, case management, and communication skills.

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy Physical Therapy preferred

Responsibilities

  • Restores Patient Physical Functioning by interpreting physical therapy evaluations and test results, determining physical therapy treatment goals and plans, administering manual exercises, and instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities and using assistive and supportive devices.
  • Responsible for Physical Therapy Students and Physical Therapy Assistants, as well as training new staff as needed.
  • Participate in program development and research as required per site.
  • Establishes therapy goals and formulates a treatment plan based on evaluation results.
  • Supervises PTAs in accordance with organizational policy and state regulations.
  • Provides individual, family, and group therapy sessions for clients engaged in outpatient therapy.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary groups for hospice patients and case conference meetings for home health patients.
  • Participates in discharge planning.
  • Provide initial assessment of clinical needs using standardized tools and protocols, and facilitate recommendations for treatment.
  • Record all pertinent data in the patient’s medical records.
