About The Position

We are seeking a Physical Therapy Technician to support patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) or physical therapist. The role involves guiding workers’ compensation and personal injury patients through prescribed exercises, helping them perform activities correctly, monitoring their progress, and encouraging them throughout rehabilitation. The technician also prepares and maintains treatment areas and equipment, documents assigned work, and supports the therapy team as needed. This position may suit someone interested in pursuing physical therapy or PTA college, with opportunities to grow.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, patient-focused approach.
Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions from supervising staff.
Physical stamina and ability to safely assist patients with mobility and exercise tasks.

Nice To Haves

Additional certification or training in a related field is a plus.
Previous experience in a physical therapy or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
Interest in pursuing physical therapy or PTA college.

Responsibilities

Assist patients in performing therapeutic exercises as directed by a PTA or physical therapist.
Educate and support patients through exercises and rehabilitation activities to improve physical function and comfort.
Monitor patient performance and communicate observations about progress, challenges, or concerns to the supervising PTA or physical therapist.
Prepare treatment areas and equipment for patient use and keep them clean and organized.
Maintain accurate records of patient exercises and other assigned tasks as directed by the therapy team.
Foster a positive, supportive environment that helps patients maintain motivation and confidence during recovery.
Document as directed and provide backup to the team as needed.
