About The Position

Senior Therapist (either PT or OT) to assist in the daily operations and clinical mentorship for IPR. About Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital In response to the health care needs of a growing community, in 1977, Corewell opened a new 189-bed hospital on rural farmland in Troy. Today, Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital has grown to 530 licensed beds and offers a comprehensive array of health care services, continuing to develop to meet the needs of the growing communities it serves. Scope of Work: In collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, provides therapeutic services including evaluation, treatment, and education. The Senior PT works closely with the Supervisor and Clerical Coordinator of the area to achieve the highest level of performance for the staff and compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory agency requirements. Evaluation and treatment of patients. Assists the Supervisor to monitor staff competence, clinical performance, organize clinic in-services, and support staff education. Assists the Supervisor with hiring, orienting, delegating and organizing the work of co-workers and staff. Monitors treatment cost and financial support as they relate to quality and efficiency. Monitors productivity on a continuous basis. Assists with PI projects. Directly monitors and supports the clinic’s technical aide coverage and activities. Demonstrate knowledge of growth/development/dynamics behavior of various age group population and is able to perform assessments/treatments appropriately.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an approved APTA school.
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience with a varied patient population.
  • License in the state of Michigan is required.
  • BLS Certification required. AHA American Heart Association or ARC American Red Cross Upon hire

  • Master degree preferred.
