Physical Therapist Service Coordinator
About The Position
Crossroads Continuum is seeking a passionate, innovative, and mission-driven Physical Therapy Services Coordinator (PTSC) to lead their Physical Therapy and Adapted Physical Education departments. This role combines clinical excellence, leadership, mentorship, creativity, and collaboration to help students with autism build skills for meaningful, independent lives. Crossroads Continuum is a nationally recognized autism program that utilizes evidence-based practices rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and fosters a collaborative culture among various professionals to achieve life-changing outcomes for students with a wide range of abilities and support needs.
Requirements
- Master's or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy
- Current Massachusetts Physical Therapy License
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Must successfully complete Crossroads' CALM safety training.
- Ability to move quickly and confidently in emergency situations
- Ability to pursue a student who may be eloping
- Ability to lift up to half of your body weight
- Ability to squat, kneel, pivot, and assist with protective movements when necessary
- Ability to assist students with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience
- School-based experience
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee Physical Therapy programming across the school.
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations.
- Monitor student progress and adjust programming based on data.
- Provide both direct and consultative Physical Therapy services.
- Collaborate closely with families, educators, and related service providers.
- Supervise and mentor Physical Therapists and the Adapted Physical Education Teacher.
- Facilitate department meetings and ensure consistency across programming.
- Support professional development and ongoing staff training.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback.
- Partner with school leadership on initiatives that promote student wellness, physical activity, and functional independence.
- Assist with school wide programs and events such as: Special Olympics, Field Day, and swim trips.
- Participate in community outings and experiential learning opportunities.
