About The Position

The Department of Rehabilitation Therapies at the University of Iowa Healthcare is seeking a Senior Physical Therapist with a focus on orthopedic therapy to evaluate and treat patients with complex physical dysfunctions, disorders, and/or injuries and or evaluate and interpret findings. This position will treat primarily patients experiencing orthopedic dysfunctions. This position is in our Specialty Outpatient Clinic at our Medical Center University Campus in Iowa City. The Department of Rehabilitation Therapies at the University of Iowa Healthcare is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist with an orthopedic focus to evaluate and treat patients with complex physical dysfunctions, disorders and/or injuries and/or evaluate and interpret findings. This position will primarily treat patients with orthopedic dysfunction. You will work in our Outpatient Specialty Clinic located at UI Health Care’s Medical Center University Campus in Iowa City. Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Physical Therapy is required.
  • Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in Physical Therapy is necessary, with a high degree of understanding of patients with orthopedic dysfunctions (for Senior role).
  • Entry level experience Orthopedic Physical Therapy experience, including assessment and treatment (for Staff role).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Demonstrated skills in clinical education abilities (for Senior role).

  • Demonstrate leadership in a work or academic setting (for Staff role).
