The purpose of this job/position is to function as a member of the Rehabilitation Services patient care team by providing physical therapy services such as therapeutic exercise, gait training, manual therapy, biofeedback, patient/family education, and various other physical modalities to assist patients in improving strength, endurance, mobility, and flexibility and to decrease pain. This position evaluates and treats a diverse specialties population across a range of conditions including neurologic, oncology, pain, cardiac, etc. Therapists are expected to supervise therapy interns and to assist with other educational and research activities conducted by the department or the hospital and meet hospital standards regarding documentation and productivity. Credentialing is required for potential for freestanding Murray Scholls clinic coverage in the future. Relief employees must be available to work at least four (4) days per pay period as determined according to the department needs.
