About The Position

Eyas Landing - Avondale is seeking a skilled and compassionate clinic-based Physical Therapist (PT) Department Lead to join our multidisciplinary team of top therapists in Chicago, IL. Eyas Landing - Avondale offers a unique opportunity to provide therapy through our Merlin Day Academy, a fully integrated educational and therapeutic environment for children ages 6-14 years old with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs. This is an opportunity to provide evidence-based, play-focused pediatric therapy in a collaborative, innovative environment designed to help children thrive.

Requirements

  • Skilled and compassionate clinic-based Physical Therapist (PT) Department Lead.
  • Ability to provide evidence-based, play-focused pediatric therapy.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, innovative environment.
  • Ability to provide individualized and group therapy.
  • Ability to implement therapeutic approaches such as DIR/Floortime, Developmental Treatment, Motor Skills Acquisition, and Intentional Relationship Model (IRM).
  • Ability to collaborate daily with occupational and speech therapists, as well as social workers.
  • Ability to document progress and communicate with families.
  • Ability to provide mentorship, clinical guidance, and performance feedback to Physical Therapists.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy to children and families.
  • Oversee a team of Physical Therapists.
  • Foster each child's mobility, gross motor development, and functional independence growth.
  • Provide individualized and group therapy.
  • Implement therapeutic approaches such as DIR/Floortime, Developmental Treatment, Motor Skills Acquisition, and Intentional Relationship Model (IRM).
  • Collaborate daily with occupational and speech therapists, as well as social workers.
  • Document progress and communicate with families to support continuity of care.
  • Provide mentorship, clinical guidance, and performance feedback to Physical Therapists to ensure consistency in care delivery and growth.
