About The Position

Origami Rehabilitation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides comprehensive rehabilitation for children and adults with neurological, developmental, mental health, and orthopedic conditions through their residential and outpatient programs. The organization aims to create opportunities and transform lives through compassionate and innovative services. This PRN Physical Therapist role involves delivering individualized, high-quality care across three Mid-Michigan based outpatient clinics. The therapist will design and implement therapy services based on assessments and physician prescriptions to help clients achieve progress in their recovery and wellness journey. Requirements

  • A degree in Physical Therapy and licensure in the state of Michigan
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certification (provided by Origami)

Responsibilities

  • Provide caseload coverage for PT services.
  • Model appropriate behavior conducive to a positive working and therapeutic environment.
  • Evaluate, document, and implement treatment plans for clients referred by physicians.
  • Record evaluations, daily progress notes, discharge reports, and service billings in a timely manner and in accordance with procedure to provide complete documentation for client charts as needed.
  • Cover treatment sessions by implementing the established plan of care and documenting treatment notes accordingly.
  • Proactively initiate and follow-through with tasks utilizing appropriate problem-solving techniques to facilitate communication flow and prompt resolutions.
  • Maintain caseload levels at a level deemed reasonable by the PT supervisor.
  • Observe all rules of confidentiality as they pertain to program participants internally, and in working with outside individuals and/or agencies.
  • Provide supervision of PTA services, when assigned for a consistent and extended period, in compliance with state practice regulations and organizational policies.
  • Other duties as assigned by the PT Supervisor.
