About The Position

Fitness Matters is seeking a Physical Therapist with a passion for pelvic health to join their team. This role is ideal for a clinician who wants to treat the whole person, build meaningful patient relationships, and practice in a setting that prioritizes clinical autonomy, collaboration, and individualized care. The practice has served the community since 2000, offering physical therapy and wellness services including orthopedic PT, pelvic health, Pilates, postpartum care, and incontinence therapy. The pelvic health treatment model is private, confidential, one-on-one, and rooted in empathy, education, and patient trust. This role provides the space to think clinically, connect with patients, and make a lasting impact. Patients often navigate pregnancy, postpartum recovery, pelvic pain, incontinence, bowel or bladder dysfunction, diastasis recti, hip and low back pain, or return-to-activity concerns. The therapist will support patients through a range of pelvic health needs, from pregnancy and postpartum recovery to pelvic pain, bowel and bladder concerns, core dysfunction, post-surgical recovery, and return-to-activity goals.

Requirements

  • DPT and state PT license (or eligibility).
  • Passion for pelvic health (anything from strong curiosity to advanced certifications).
  • Warm, collaborative communication style with patients, physicians, and teammates.
  • Comfort treating patients with empathy, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Strong communication and patient education skills.
  • A desire to keep learning and growing clinically.
  • Confidence working with a variety of patient needs and backgrounds.
  • A collaborative mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Pelvic health training, experience, or strong interest in the pelvic health population.
  • Level 1 Pelvic Health Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Treat patients with empathy, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Communicate effectively and educate patients.
  • Work with a variety of patient needs and backgrounds.
  • Collaborate with a team of PTs, Pilates instructors, personal trainers, and wellness providers.
  • Provide 1:1 patient care in a private practice setting.
  • Support patients through a range of pelvic health needs, including pregnancy and postpartum recovery, pelvic pain, bowel and bladder concerns, core dysfunction, post-surgical recovery, and return-to-activity goals.
