About The Position

Cobble Hill LifeCare is seeking compassionate and skilled Physical Therapists (PTs) and Occupational Therapists (OTs) to provide exceptional care to our growing maternal health population on a Fee-for-Service (FFS) basis. This is an exciting opportunity for therapists who are passionate about supporting women throughout the prenatal and postpartum journey. We are especially interested in candidates with experience or specialized training in Pelvic Health, Women's Health, Maternal Health, or Obstetric Physical Therapy. The Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat prenatal and postpartum patients in home and community-based settings. Therapists will develop individualized treatment plans designed to improve function, reduce pain, promote recovery, and enhance overall quality of life during pregnancy and the postpartum period.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
  • Reliable transportation for patient visits throughout Brooklyn and surrounding areas.
  • Current CPR certification preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Physical Therapist Candidates: Current New York State Physical Therapist license.
  • Experience in Pelvic Health, Women's Health, Maternal Health, or Obstetric Physical Therapy strongly preferred.
  • Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation certification or advanced training is a plus.
  • Experience working with prenatal and postpartum patients preferred.
  • Occupational Therapist Candidates: Current New York State Occupational Therapist license.
  • Experience treating women during pregnancy and postpartum recovery preferred.
  • Knowledge of maternal health, pelvic health, and women's wellness programs is a plus.
  • Strong patient education and functional rehabilitation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions for prenatal and postpartum patients.
  • Assess and treat conditions related to pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum recovery.
  • Educate patients on body mechanics, exercise programs, pain management, and functional wellness.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Promote patient independence, safety, and overall well-being.
