Requirements

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's degree from an accredited PT program/ Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Current or eligible for New York State PT/ OT license
Passion for geriatric rehabilitation and functional outcomes
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

Preferred specialty in Pelvic Floor Vestibular, and Lymphedema.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological events, cardiac conditions, and general deconditioning.
Develop individualized treatment plans.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
Play a direct role in helping patients return to their highest level of independence.
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations.
Develop individualized treatment plans focused on functional independence.
Collaborate with nursing, PT, SLP, and social work to ensure coordinated patient care.
Address self-care skills, cognitive and perceptual deficits, home safety, adaptive equipment needs, and caregiver training.
