The Physical Therapist- Lymphedema Specialist will be responsible for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and directing physical therapy services, programs, and activities in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern nursing care facilities. This role involves collaborating with staff from related departments, developing and maintaining occupational therapy standards, and ensuring the accurate and timely completion of all documentation and billing. The position also includes administering therapy services, reviewing requests for physical therapy, interviewing residents to determine treatment needs, selecting appropriate therapeutic activities, and participating in resident assessments and care plans. The therapist will also be involved in staff development, safety and sanitation, equipment and supply management, and upholding resident rights. This role requires a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy, a current state license, and the ability to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel. The therapist must be knowledgeable in physical therapy procedures, possess leadership skills, and be willing to embrace new methods and principles.
