About The Position

Saint Mary’s Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Of New England, is a leader in Rehabilitation Care and has an amazing opportunity for an Inpatient Physical Therapist. This role involves using the latest techniques and technologies to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to patients in the Inpatient Acute Care Unit. The Physical Therapist will collaborate with providers to treat patients in a hospital setting, conducting evaluations, performing treatments, and providing recommendations to improve mobility and prepare for discharge.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy
Current State of CT license.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. This may include explaining clinical, technical and diagnostic procedures to clients and their families, counseling patients and their families and enforcing policies and regulations in difficult situations.

Responsibilities

Evaluates, directs, plans, and treats to help clients achieve a maximum level of functional independence.
Works in a fast-paced environment with ongoing collaboration and communication with staff, patients, and families.
Develops and carries out a variety of techniques and modalities to provide individualized treatment appropriate to established goals.
Modifies treatment plans and goals due to changes in client status and capabilities.
Provides appropriate information regarding client status to patient, family, treatment team and other professionals in a clear and concise manner.
