About The Position

The Physical Therapist II is responsible for providing evaluation and treatment of the patient within the parameters of legal and professional guidelines, and hospital and departmental policies and procedures. The Physical Therapist II instructs and directs Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehab Technicians as assigned. This position evaluates and implements the plan of care to improve, restore and enhance physical functional performance, and promote injury prevention. The Physical Therapist II performs documentation and quality improvement, as outlined in departmental policies and procedures. It also includes demonstrating an understanding of the correlation between OASIS assessments and outcomes reporting, communicating regularly with all disciplines involved in patient care, and completing initial and ongoing assessments (OASIS if appropriate) to determine the patient's level of functioning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Physical Therapy
  • 1 year Physical Therapist
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - American Heart Association
  • Certified as required by specialization
  • Physical Therapist (PT) - State Licensing Board

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree Physical Therapy Preferred
  • Doctorate Physical Therapy Preferred

  • Communicate regularly with all disciplines involved in the care of the patient.
  • Complete and initial and ongoing assessment (OASIS if appropriate) to determine level of functioning.
