They specialize in working with children who have impaired mobility and functional limitations due to injury, disease, or disability. Our physical therapists' goal is to optimize the child’s level of independence by restoring movement, mobility, and function. They work with the patient and caregivers to design individualized treatment plans and provide the child’s family with innovative ideas on how to support their therapy goals at home. Valley Children’s physical therapy program offers expert care for a diverse pediatric population of varying ages and diagnoses. The success of therapy is heightened by our therapists who have specialized training in pediatrics and are committed to serving infants, children, and older adolescents. Physical therapy is offered in a variety of settings at Valley Children's Hospital, including: Outpatient therapy, Inpatient rehabilitation, Acute care, Critical care (NICU and PICU), Multidisciplinary clinics, Rehabilitation Follow-up, Rheumatology, Hematology, MDA/Neuromuscular Disease, Cystic Fibrosis, Hypertonicity/Spasticity.
