Requirements
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program. Initiated in 2016; prior to 2016 Masters of Physical Therapy required.
- Current New Jersey PT license
- BLS certification
Nice To Haves
- Acute care experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ physical conditions and medical histories.
- Conduct thorough chart reviews.
- Diagnose movement dysfunction and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities (e.g., ultrasound, electrical stimulation).
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and home exercises.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
- Recommend discharge disposition.
- Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, Rehab Aides and support staff as needed.
- Other duties as needed/required.
