About The Position

Join a collaborative rehabilitation team providing specialized electromyography (EMG) services to active duty service members, military retirees, and their families. This unique opportunity allows an experienced Physical Therapist to perform EMG studies and contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular and orthopedic conditions in a military treatment facility.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizen
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program
• Current, full, active, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in any U.S. state or territory
• Minimum 24 months of independent clinical experience in an orthopedic setting within the past 36 months
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willing to obtain)
• Current EMG Board Certification

Nice To Haves

• Manual therapy experience
• Dry needling experience
• Experience treating orthopedic and neuromuscular conditions
• Strong clinical reasoning and patient education skills

Responsibilities

• Perform electromyography (EMG) and related diagnostic studies within the scope of practice
• Evaluate patients with neuromuscular and orthopedic conditions
• Interpret EMG findings and communicate results to referring providers
• Document findings accurately in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with physicians and rehabilitation professionals to develop treatment recommendations
• Educate patients regarding procedures and expected outcomes
• Maintain EMG equipment and ensure quality assurance standards are met
• Follow all military treatment facility policies and infection prevention standards
