About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Physical Therapist - Clinical Director to lead our outpatient Physical Therapy clinic in Florence, Arizona. This role combines clinical excellence with operational leadership, overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care and managing the clinic's daily operations. The Physical Therapist - Clinical Director will mentor and support the rehabilitation team, drive patient outcomes, optimize clinic performance, and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and exceptional customer service. This position is ideal for a licensed Physical Therapist who enjoys both patient care and leadership.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Arizona Physical Therapist license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of outpatient orthopedic physical therapy experience.
  • Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or clinic management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of outpatient rehabilitation operations and clinical best practices.
  • Board Certification (OCS or other ABPTS specialty certification).
  • Experience managing clinic operations, budgeting, and staff performance.
  • Demonstrated success improving patient outcomes and clinic performance metrics.
  • Experience with quality improvement initiatives and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight for all rehabilitation services within the clinic.
  • Maintain an active patient caseload while managing day-to-day clinic operations.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), and support staff.
  • Ensure delivery of evidence-based, patient-centered care and achievement of optimal functional outcomes.
  • Monitor clinic productivity, patient satisfaction, quality metrics, and operational performance.
  • Oversee scheduling, staffing, workflow efficiency, and resource utilization.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and evaluate clinical team members.
  • Ensure compliance with state practice acts, Medicare regulations, HIPAA, OSHA, and accreditation standards.
  • Partner with regional leadership to achieve financial, operational, and quality goals.
  • Foster relationships with referring providers and community partners.
  • Support business development initiatives and promote clinic growth.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with payer requirements.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and implement best practices across the clinic.
