About The Position

HealthPro Heritage has a great opportunity for a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) to work in an outpatient setting within a senior living community at National Church First Community Village in Columbus, OH. This role involves treating motivated residents with a focus on independence and quality of life, offering a consistent caseload and the chance to build meaningful relationships. You will work alongside experienced PTs, OTs, and SLPs in a supportive, team-oriented environment, utilizing a modern outpatient gym and equipment. The focus is on functional, patient-centered care, including mobility, balance, fall prevention, and maintaining independence. Outpatient hours typically mean fewer evenings and weekends, contributing to a good work-life balance. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or license eligible.
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists.
  • Provide direct patient care including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modality applications.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, report observations to the Physical Therapist, and educate patients and families on treatment protocols, exercises, and self-care techniques.
  • Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and responses in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
  • Work closely with Physical Therapists, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care and effective treatment outcomes.
