About The Position

We are looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant who is an excellent communicator and listener, confident, loves laughing with their patients, and is committed to growth and learning! This role is at the Physical Achievement Center, a Direct Access Physical & Occupational Therapy clinic in Oshkosh Wisconsin that focuses on empowering patients to stay active and mobile while avoiding surgery, injections, and pain medications. The clinic believes wholeheartedly in education and provides an immense amount of training, teaching, and coaching. They do not settle for half-hearted care and are constantly pushing the envelope in creating a customer experience that clients rave about. Requirements

Be able to help patients understand the value of your plan of care to achieve their stated goals in exchange for their time and money.

  • PT License: Has an active physical therapy license in the state of Wisconsin.
  • Proven working experience as a physical therapist assistant
  • Excellent knowledge of physiology best practices and standards
  • Hands-on experience with therapeutic exercises, functional training, and physical modalities
  • Ability to communicate and instruct effectively
  • Healthcare administration and documentation skills
  • License to practice or relevant certification
  • Associate degree as a PTA

  • Physical Therapy Assistant Experience: 1 year

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with patients in a way that they can confidently make decisions about the plan of care recommended.
  • Ensure the patient’s achieve their clinical and health/lifestyle outcome within the time frame suggested.
  • Develop a mutually beneficial relationship that benefits both the patient and the clinic.
  • Ensure that patients remain engaged and excited about the prospect of coming to Physical Therapy and remain committed to the treatment plan.
  • Provide a high level of customer care that will cause patients to want to come back frequently and tell their friends and family about us as well.
  • Ensure that the patients complete a full plan of care as agreed upon in the first session.
  • Ensure clinical notes are kept up to date and accurate within time frames.
  • Participate in, contribute to and help develop in house education that is provided to Therapist and Staff.
  • Be willing to utilize approaches to reach out the general public within the established framework in order to assist individuals to consider becoming a customer of the clinic. This may include leading workshops, visiting professional referral sources, community events, and multi-media tools such as Facebook, and Instagram.
