About The Position

Independence Rehab is hiring a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our therapy team serving Everett Transitional Care Services in Everett. This is a great opportunity to work with patients across short-term transitional rehabilitation and skilled nursing care without traveling between facilities. In this role, you'll help patients recovering from hospitalization, illness, or injury rebuild strength, balance, and confidence so they can safely return to daily activities. Whether you're an experienced PTA or a new graduate looking for mentorship, you'll find strong support and a collaborative rehab team here.

Requirements

  • Active Washington State Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Interest in working with the geriatric population

Nice To Haves

  • Skilled nursing or post-acute care experience preferred but not required
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
  • Assisting patients with gait training, transfers, and mobility exercises
  • Leading strengthening, balance, and endurance activities
  • Helping patients improve safety awareness and reduce fall risk
  • Monitoring patient progress and documenting treatment sessions
  • Communicating patient updates to the supervising PT
  • Collaborating with OT, speech therapy, nursing, and facility staff
  • Supporting patients as they progress toward discharge or improved functional independence
