About The Position
Derby Health & Rehab, proudly part of Axiom Healthcare Services, is growing its in-house rehab team and is looking for a passionate Full-Time or PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join them in Derby, Kansas. This role is for an individual driven by patient-centered care who thrives in a collaborative, clinically focused environment. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will partner with a licensed PT to deliver high-quality therapy services that improve strength, mobility, and functional independence.
Requirements
- Active Kansas PTA license in good standing
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Experience with Net Health documentation system is a plus
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising PT
- Deliver skilled therapy interventions to enhance mobility and function
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient progress
- Assist in modifying care plans based on patient response
- Educate residents and families on exercises and home programs
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes
- Maintain accurate, compliant documentation
