About The Position
Provides therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. Delivers treatment programs, monitors patient progress, and assists patients in achieving independence. This is a PRN position located at Timber Springs in Springhill, LA.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree from accredited PTA program.
- Current state PTA license.
- Ability to follow treatment directions.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and move patients safely.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching.
- Work in long-term care and healthcare environments.
- An Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program is required.
- A current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required and must be maintained.
Nice To Haves
- Clinical experience preferred.
- Clinical experience in rehabilitation or long-term care settings is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Carry out PT treatment plans for individuals and groups.
- Provide therapeutic exercises and activities as directed.
- Educate patients on mobility and assistive devices.
- Document treatment and patient response.
- Report changes to supervising PT.
