About The Position
Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars, IA has a full-time position in our Physical Therapy Department for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). Requirements
- Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited physical therapy assistant program.
- Expand professional knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading periodicals, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
- Current license from the State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
- Must pass the National Physical Therapy Assistant Exam administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy.
- CPR certification and Iowa Mandatory Reporter training certificate a plus; certifications are required as an employee.
- Background check is required.
Responsibilities
- Promotes and maintains health by providing therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist.
- Contributes to a physical therapist’s effectiveness by identifying patient care issues.
- Administers treatment programs for patients as specified in the plan of care established by the physical therapist.
