About The Position

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current Florida PTA license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and insurance.
• Strong physical stamina and excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• One year of home healthcare experience is preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Experience with electronic medical records is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating patients, developing care plans, and conducting periodic reassessments.
• Document clinical and daily progress notes for review by the Physical Therapist and submission.
• Perform therapeutic exercises and assist patients with self-help devices.
• Instruct patients and families on therapy exercises alongside the Physical Therapist.
• Monitor and report adverse drug reactions or ineffective therapies to the Physical Therapist.
• Observe, document, and report clinical findings to the Physical Therapist and physician as needed.
• Coordinate with Physical Therapist and nursing staff on patient discharge plans and summaries.
• Educate health team members and families to support patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with agency policies.
