About The Position
Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a skilled and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to provide home healthcare to patients in Franklin, Massachusetts. This per diem role provides skilled physical therapy interventions in patients’ homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA helps patients improve mobility, strength, safety, and independence through individualized, one-on-one care. The position offers flexible scheduling, mileage reimbursement, licensure reimbursement, clinical and administrative support, and ongoing training and professional development. VRNS describes itself as clinician-owned and clinician-focused and notes that its ABI Waiver Program helps provide consistent scheduling opportunities while preserving per diem flexibility.
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
- At least one year of clinical experience.
- Afternoon availability.
Nice To Haves

- Monday–Friday availability.
- Weekend availability.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled physical therapy interventions as directed by a Physical Therapist.
- Assist with transfers and safe mobility techniques.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safety strategies.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation.
