About The Position

This is a 13-week contract assignment for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). The role involves working 8-hour day shifts with 40 guaranteed hours per week. Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, the PTA will provide rehabilitative care. This includes therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, massage techniques, and other interventions to enhance patient mobility and functional independence. The position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a rehabilitation team.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapist Assistant experience
• Active Texas PTA License or Compact License required
• BLS certification required
• Ability to follow and implement treatment plans under PT supervision
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience in SNF or rehab setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and rehabilitation techniques
