About The Position
The Physical Therapist Assistant delivers physical therapy and related services to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The role supports high-quality care and positive engagement with clients and facilities, follows physical therapy principles and Reliant Rehabilitation standards, and complies with applicable state and federal regulations. Responsibilities may include implementing treatment plans, supervising Rehab Technicians when applicable, and managing patient cases. Reliant Rehabilitation provides clinical support, ongoing training, established protocols, hands-on guidance, professional development, and growth opportunities. The company operates in 44 states and more than 900 communities nationwide.
Requirements
- Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Valid Physical Therapy Assistant state license.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
Responsibilities
- Support patients in improving functional abilities and skills under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Contribute to the development and sustainability of a robust physical therapy program.
- Advance clinical, professional, and leadership skills through collaboration, self-directed learning, and continuing education.
- Maintain a current and valid state license and stay informed about developments in physical therapy and healthcare.
- Understand and apply appropriate billing practices and treatment delivery models, ensuring care meets clinical and regulatory standards.
- Follow infection control and environmental safety protocols within the facility.
- Communicate and document effectively in English.
- Maintain confidentiality as appropriate and comply with the state practice act in the state or states where licensed.
- Implement treatment plans, supervise Rehab Technicians as applicable, and manage patient cases.
