Physical Therapy - Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
About The Position
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides skilled, evidence-based rehabilitative treatment to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role involves therapeutic exercises, ambulation training, manual techniques, modalities, and the use of assistive devices. The PTA will also participate in care conferences, rehab meetings, trainings, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The position is for 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with flexible scheduling as long as hours are consistent and coordinated with the Director of Rehabilitation. There are no call or weekend requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of PTA experience required.
- Prior LTC or rehab experience required.
- Active Missouri PTA license required at submission.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards.
- Adherence to APTA and state practice acts required.
