Requirements

Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Current NC PTA license
CPR/BLS Certification
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate and motivate patients
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development

Responsibilities

Provide One-on One Therapy: Utilize a variety of techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and aquatic therapy, to deliver personalized care.
Document Patient Progress: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices while maintaining accurate patient records.
Collaborate with Healcare Providers: Work closely with physicians, medical providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.
Engage with a Multidisciplinary Team: Collaborate with a large team of seasoned Physical Therapists (PTs), Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Speech, Language Pathologists (SLPs).
Educate Patients and Families: Provide education on conditions, rehabilitation and the importance of ongoinbg self-care.
Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure a supportive and safe environment for both patients and staff.
Pursue Professional Development: Participate in continuous professional development through continuing education opportunities and clinical ladder opportunities.
