About The Position

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant for its outpatient orthopedic center in Berlin, Connecticut. The role provides patient care to people of all ages and abilities, with a diverse caseload that includes sports medicine, general orthopedics, vestibular care, and workers’ compensation patients, ranging from teenagers through adults. The clinical team focuses on maximizing functionality and helping patients return to athletics, work, daily life, and activities they enjoy.

The position follows a Monday-through-Friday schedule. The clinic is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, including evening hours for its active sports medicine and orthopedic population. PRN and part-time opportunities are also available. Compensation is $27–$40 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
• Pass a national examination for physical therapist assistants certified by CAPTE.
• Valid state physical therapist assistant license, or license in process.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist, as mandated by the State Practice Act.
• Implement high-quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers, and facilities with minimal supervision, in accordance with physical therapy principles and practices and Select Medical policies and procedures.
• Maintain positive interactions with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
