About The Position

Aquacare and Fitness Forum Physical Therapy is a physical-therapist-owned private practice with 12 clinics across Maryland and Delaware, operating for over 27 years. They are hiring an orthopedic physical therapist assistant (PTA) to join their team. The practice emphasizes a patient-centered approach with a scheduling rule of fewer than 11 patients per day, seen one at a time for the entire session. Requirements

• Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license or eligibility.
• Ability to treat a wide variety of patients.
• Willingness to provide hands-on care and individualized treatment.
• New graduates start with a reduced caseload that builds over the first three months.
• Weekly one-on-ones with the clinic director for new graduates.
• A named mentor and scheduled weekly meetings for new graduates.
• Case review with clinical leadership for new graduates.

Nice To Haves

• Certification support for specialties such as aquatic therapy, lymphedema, and other tracks open to PTAs.
• Interest in specializing in aquatic therapy or lymphedema treatment.
• Interest in balance and vestibular work, neurologic rehabilitation, or sports rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Treat and work directly with patients.
• Deliver hands-on care through the whole session.
• Work from the plan of care with the evaluating physical therapist close at hand.
• Work alongside therapists, additional PTAs, and techs.
• Complete documentation using Prompt EMR with AI-assisted notes.
• Specialize in areas such as aquatic therapy, lymphedema treatment, balance and vestibular work, neurologic rehabilitation, or sports rehabilitation.

Benefits

• $27 to $35 per hour, depending on experience
