About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for an inpatient role in Temple, TX. This PRN position offers a rate of $35/hr. We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills and a desire to grow and expand their clinical knowledge and expertise. Under the direct supervision of a licensed PT, the PTA assists with the implementation of the therapy plan of care. They are responsible for the delegation and direction of supportive personnel for assigned patients to enhance patient care services. Consistent communication with the supervising PT regarding scheduled patients is crucial to ensure the identification of the need for assessment and reassessment of patients, modification of treatment plans, and other interventions requiring therapist direction. The PTA participates in the education of patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves. They also perform other professional duties associated with patient care within the scope of practice.

Requirements

Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant required.
Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of a licensed PT, assists with the implementation of the therapy plan of care.
Responsible for delegation and direction of supportive personnel for those assigned patients, in order to enhance patient care services.
