About The Position

The Physical Therapist Assistant works in Select Physical Therapy’s outpatient orthopedic center in Katy, Texas, providing care to patients of all ages and abilities. The role delivers personalized treatments intended to restore function and help patients return to sports, work, and everyday activities. The assistant provides patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist, as required by the State Practice Act, and implements physical therapy services in accordance with professional principles and practices and Select Medical policies and procedures. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday. The posting advertises a $5,000 sign-on bonus and unlimited student loan repayment assistance. Benefits described apply to full-time employees working 32 or more hours per week.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
Pass a national examination for PTAs certified by CAPTE.
Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license, or license in process.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist, as mandated by the State Practice Act.
Implement high-quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers, and facilities with minimal supervision, following the principles and practices of physical therapy and Select Medical policies and procedures.
Maintain positive interactions with centers and patients.
Enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
