About The Position

Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a compassionate and dependable part-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide home healthcare in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. The PTA provides skilled physical therapy services in patients’ homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, working with patients and their care teams to promote mobility, strength, functional independence, safety, and quality of life. The role offers flexible scheduling, compensation of $37–$50 per visit, mileage and licensure reimbursement, and a part-time benefits package that includes dental and vision coverage, a 401(k), Wi-Fi cost reimbursement, and more. PTAs receive support from experienced clinical and administrative leadership and have access to ongoing training and professional development. Requirements

Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
At least one year of clinical experience.
Afternoon availability.

Responsibilities

Provide skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
Assess patients’ home environments and reinforce appropriate safety strategies.
Educate patients and caregivers about exercises, mobility strategies, and safety techniques.
Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Collaborate with Physical Therapists, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, physicians, and other care team members.
Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation.
Provide individualized care based on each patient’s needs.
