About The Position
HealthPro Heritage is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join the team at New Bethany, a Residential Care Community in Los Banos, CA. This role focuses on providing high-quality therapy services to residents, supporting mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional improvement under the supervision of a licensed PT in a residential care setting. The role offers a flexible PRN schedule, competitive pay ($40–$45 per hour) based on experience, a supportive, collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to positively impact residents’ quality of life and functional independence. Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or license eligible.
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists.
- Provide direct patient care including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modality applications.
- Monitor and document patient progress, report observations to the Physical Therapist, and educate patients and families on treatment protocols, exercises, and self-care techniques.
- Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and responses in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
- Work closely with Physical Therapists, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care and effective treatment outcomes.
