About The Position
Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a skilled and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide home healthcare to patients in Dover, Massachusetts. This per diem role offers flexible scheduling and pay of $37–$50 per visit. The PTA provides individualized, one-on-one physical therapy interventions in patients’ homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, helping patients improve mobility, strength, safety, and independence. VRNS describes itself as clinician-owned and clinician-focused and notes that its ABI Waiver Program helps provide consistent scheduling opportunities while preserving per diem flexibility. Clinical and administrative support, mileage reimbursement, licensure reimbursement, and ongoing training and professional development are offered.
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience.
- Afternoon availability.

Responsibilities
- Provide skilled physical therapy interventions as directed by a Physical Therapist.
- Assist with transfers and safe mobility techniques.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safety strategies.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation.
