About The Position

This role is located at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, IN. The shift is Full-Time, Monday through Friday, with one weekend day per month required. Three months of acute care experience is preferred, but new graduates with acute care fieldwork experience will be considered.

Requirements

• Requires an Associate's Degree from an accredited physical therapist assistant education program, or if foreign trained, graduation from an assistant physical therapist education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.
• Requires certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Indiana.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and selected physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a physical therapist.
• Assist in the clinical education of physical therapy students and clinical supervision of physical therapist assistant students.
• Provide guidance and supervision for support personnel.
• Willingly participate in related activities in support of patient care, education and department operations.
