About The Position
RUSH Physical Therapy is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join its outpatient orthopedic team in Oak Park, Illinois. The role focuses on delivering high-quality physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist. The team will work with the candidate to pair coverage needs with their availability and create a workable schedule. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of outpatient or aquatic experience; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
- Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by CAPTE.
- Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license, or license in process.
- CPR certification.
- The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of outpatient or aquatic experience.
Nice To Haves
- Proficiency in Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist, as mandated by the State Practice Act.
- Implement high-quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers, and facilities with minimal supervision, in accordance with physical therapy principles and practices and Select Medical policies and procedures.
- Maintain positive interactions with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
