Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) credentialed from the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
Nice To Haves
- Adult acute care experience required
Responsibilities
- Provide and document therapy interventions under a plan of care written by an evaluating therapist.
- Update and progress patient care through communication with supervising therapists.
- Coordinate with medical staff to prioritize caseload and determine patient care needs.
- Instruct patient/family/caregivers in the use of therapy and compensatory rehabilitation in relation to their diagnosis.
